Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 30, 2026
Hi, I’m Mohamed! Welcome to ColorPickerCode. By continuing to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to comply with the following terms of use. I wrote these rules to keep this site a safe, reliable, and free resource for the global design community.
1. Using My Free Tools
I built the Image Color Picker, Hex Converters, and CSS Generators specifically for you to use on your personal or commercial design projects. You are totally free to extract colors and use them in your client work, websites, or apps. You do not need to credit me (though a shoutout on social media is always appreciated!).
2. What You Can't Do
While the tools are free, I ask that you respect the effort it took to build them. Please do not:
- Write automated scripts capable of scraping, attacking, or overwhelming the website's servers (please don't DDoS me).
- Copy, clone, or scrape my source code to launch your own competing color picker site.
- Use the platform for any illegal activities.
3. Uptime and Reliability
I work hard to keep ColorPickerCode online 24/7. However, I am an independent developer, not a massive corporation. Sometimes the server might need maintenance, or things might break. I cannot guarantee that the site will be completely uninterrupted or entirely error-free at all times.
4. Intellectual Property
The code, written content, logos, and UI layout of ColorPickerCode belong to me and are protected by copyright. The actual hex codes or colors you extract using my tools, obviously, belong to the universe—you can use those anywhere.
5. Third-Party Links & Ads
You'll notice I run Google AdSense on the site to help cover my hosting costs. Clicking on an ad might take you to a third-party website. I don't control those external websites, and I'm not responsible for what happens once you leave ColorPickerCode.
6. Limitation of Liability
This is standard legal advice I have to give: Using ColorPickerCode is entirely at your own risk. If you select a generated HEX code, send it to a commercial printer, and the printed billboard comes out looking slightly pink instead of red, I am not liable for your financial loss. Monitors display colors differently, and you should always double-check high-stakes color values before finalizing designs.
7. Changes to These Rules
As the site grows, I might need to update these terms. When I do, I'll silently update the timestamp at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
8. Contact Me
If you have a question about these terms, a feature request, or just want to say hi, email me anytime at: [email protected].
