Hey there, Mohamed here. I built ColorPickerCode to be the fastest, most reliable set of color tools on the web. But because building digital tools involves a lot of variables (like the fact that everyone's monitor is different), I need to establish a few ground rules and disclaimers.
1. Technical Accuracy & Colors
The HEX, RGB, HSL, and CMYK codes generated by my tools are based on standard mathematical formulas and browser-rendering engines. However, digital color is tricky.
- Your Screen: A HEX code might look fiery red on my MacBook, but slightly orange on your older Dell monitor. Uncalibrated monitors display colors differently.
- Print vs. Web: CMYK values here are approximations. If you are sending a design to a professional printer for a massive billboard, always verify the colors with physical Pantone swatches or printed proofs. Do not rely solely on a web browser's conversion.
By using this site, you agree that I am not financially liable if a color doesn't print exactly how it looked on your screen.
2. Third-Party Ads (How I Keep This Free)
I pay for the servers out of pocket. To keep ColorPickerCode free for you, I display advertisements served by Google AdSense. I do not personally choose the ads you see (Google's algorithm handles that), and the presence of an ad does not mean I endorse that specific product or software.
3. Uptime and "As-Is" Status
I try my best to keep the website online all the time, but I make no formal guarantees. ColorPickerCode is provided strictly on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. If the server goes down for maintenance while you're in the middle of a project, I apologize, but I won't be held liable for any resulting delays.
4. External Links
Sometimes I link to other tools, blogs, or resources that I think are helpful. If you click a link and leave my site, I am no longer responsible for the content or privacy practices of that new website. Surf safely!
5. Content is Not Professional Advice
If I write a blog post about UI design or color psychology, understand that it's educational. It is not formal legal advice (like ADA accessibility compliance) or professional consulting. Always double-check critical design decisions with your own team.
