Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 30, 2026
Hi, I'm Mohamed, the developer behind ColorPickerCode. I know reading privacy policies is rarely fun, but I wanted to make this one as straightforward as possible. As a developer myself, I take privacy very seriously. I built this tool specifically because I was tired of other design tools secretly uploading my client mockups to their remote servers.
Here is exactly what happens with your data when you use my tools.
1. Privacy-First Architecture
ColorPickerCode is built on a "Privacy-by-Design" philosophy. When you use the Image Color Picker to extract colors from a photo or a mockup, that image is processed 100% locally within your browser using HTML5 Canvas technology.
I never upload your images to my servers. I never store them, and I never see them. They stay strictly on your device.
2. Basic Server Logs
Like almost every website on the internet, my hosting provider collects basic server logs. This includes your IP address, browser type, and the time you visited. This information is completely anonymous and isn't linked to your identity. I only use this data to make sure the server is healthy and to see which tools are the most popular so I know what to improve next.
3. How I Afford to Keep This Free
I want to keep ColorPickerCode 100% free for the community. To pay for the server costs and my time, I display advertisements through Google AdSense.
4. Google AdSense & Advertising
To help keep this platform free, I use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Third-party vendors (including Google) may use anonymous tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet.
Google’s advertising network enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to my site and/or other sites across the internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of tracking technologies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
5. Your European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have strict data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Although I process almost zero personal data, I fully support and comply with these 8 core rights:
- 1. The right to be informed: To know what data is being collected and how it is used.
- 2. The right of access: To request copies of your personal data.
- 3. The right to rectification: To request that I correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
- 4. The right to erasure: To request that I erase your personal data (the "right to be forgotten").
- 5. The right to restrict processing: To request that I restrict the processing of your personal data.
- 6. The right to object to processing: To object to my processing of your personal data.
- 7. The right to data portability: To request that I transfer your data to another organization, or directly to you.
- 8. Rights related to automated decision-making: The right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact me and I will respond within one month (30 days).
6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the CCPA grants you specific rights: the right to know what data we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt-out of the "sale" of data. I want to be 100% clear: I do not sell your personal information to anyone.
7. Let's Talk
If you have any questions about how I handle data, or if you just want to say hello, you can always reach me personally at [email protected].
